Officer David Shepard

Officer David Shepard started his career with the Ferndale Police Department in 2003. In that same year, he was awarded the City's Medal of Merit for "extreme professionalism in a dangerous and stressful situation," for his actions in dealing with an armed and barricaded burglary suspect.

Prior to joining our department, David served four years in the U.S. Marines with two tours in Somalia, and earned a degree in psychology from the University of Washington.

When off duty, David enjoys spending time with his two horses and involved in many outdoor recreational activities.
