Community Involvement

For the past eight years, in an effort to decrease Halloween related crimes and increase safety, our department, with the help of local merchants, has conducted the Halloween Safety Patrol.  Throughout the city, officers hand out candy to trick-or-treaters while maintaining high visibility in the neighborhoods. The generous donations of Ferndale Cost Cutter, Haggen Food & Pharmacy, Rite Aid and Walgreens make this enjoyable community event possible.
The photos below are of the store managers accepting certificates of appreciation for their generosity and community spirit.
