Administration

The Administration Division oversees all department activities, works with other departments and agencies, prepares and monitors budgets, manages recruitment activities, and provides personnel support. Administrative personnel also serve as Public Information Officers, coordinating relations between our agency and members of the news media.

Ferndale Police Department’s Administrative Staff consists of Chief Michael F. Knapp, Operations Lieutenant Matt Huffman, and Administrative Lieutenant Bill Hatchett.  Our Support Services Manager, Leigh Ramsey, has accepted a position with the federal government, beginning in July 2009. Her position will not be filled at this time.
